Lowsec Roamer

Well, I was going to put up a post about my new favorite ship, the Scimitar, but then CCP decided to release a new dev blog that I thought I’d comment on.

Anyways, my very vague thoughts on it:

- It’s said that the planets will be exploitable, minerals and stoof, and (as I understand it) upgradable to support production.
- What types of materials will be extracted? Current moon goo? Regular ore/minerals? Trade goods such as Robotics and Enriched Uranium?
- If you can use them for production…will it be similar to current POS production now? Throw the required materials into storage and start the jobs like normal? If so, what’s the advantage over using a POS? Time or materials required?
- It’s said that the more “hostile” planets will cost more to run/upkeep, but will be more “onturning”
- Apparently it’s “all planets”, which could mean two things…either ALL PLANETS as in highsec, lowsec, and nullsec…or it could mean ALL PLANETS as in each type of planet (which seems to be the case with their wording, but one can hope) and have the same restrictions of moon mining like we have with POSes.
- /me wonders what the structures and upgrades (if any) will cost
- /me also wonders what kind of profit one can expect for the amount of time input (if any) from each type of moon.
- Hrm, will there be any reactions like we have with moon goo? It sounds like you’ll be using multiple sources of materials to “fine tune them for optimal production”, so I would assume so.

Can’t write a long post, tis 3AM, but…damn, I didn’t expect that.

Looks like Goonswarm has dissolved for the most part, the forum whoring is already well underway.

This’ll be a fun week.

It’s been awhile since I posted, but I had a bit of free time before I bailed so I thought I’d do one of those “omg check out my skills!” sorta posts.

Without further ado, I present to you, my skill pie graph!

Not bad if I do say so myself. I’ve got a bit over 12m SP as of this post, the vast majority of it in support skills and focused on small ship/gang PvP. I’m working on Minnie Cruiser V for the Scimitar Logistics ship, then it’s on to Gunnery to get T2 medium projectiles for possibly a Vagabond and BCs for gatecamps.

Oh, and I joined Fairlight Corp, of the famous Rooks and Kings Alliance. You should know them, makers of the Clarion Call and Pantheon videos? If you haven’t, go download both of those Eve movies and be amazed.

Well, I decided to go skiing. Its been a fun two days, and I think I’m staying for another day to shadow my friends highschool and have another half-day on the mountain with his two little sisters.

Knowing my luck, they’ll beat me down each run…but then again, I haven’t skied in two years, so ya…

Also, anyone ever hear about these awesome things called Snow Blades? I swear by the damn things (all I’ve used for the past 8-10 years), but 90% of the people I see on the mountain (that comment on them at least) have no clue what they are. Are we “bladers” that scarce?

A bit late, ya, but it’s the thought that counts.

Damn, it’s been awhile since I posted anything…I should fix that.

I’ve recently started taking a liking to the Arty Thrasher. I’ve got a full rack of 250mm arties in the highs, and a DCU and a gyrstab in the lows.

My midslots vary a slight bit, if we know we have fast tackle, I put on two Sensor Booster IIs, so I can lay on the damage ASAP before they even think about burning back to a gate. If we don’t have an inty or something else fast, I’ll replace a SB with a long point.

It’s a decent small gang ship, but I’ve only flown it for a day, so I can’t really make any major judgements.

Not as awesome as my sentinel though

Why oh why do parents have to come visit on the day you reshedule a duel after a rescheduled duel?

Argh. Party last night was awesome, but for various reasons I got stranded at my friends place with no car and a dead iPhone.

This post is mainly for Kirith, I’m so sorry about having to miss our duel! I had planned on being back with plenty of time, but apprentpy my ride back to my car had work until about an hour ago.

Again, sorry mate I hope we can reschedule.

So basically, I always go to a friends place for a Christmas party he puts on every year. About 150+ go each year, and this year is special. You know why?

This year is the first year that he’s invited my ex-girlfriends family back after we broke up. Long story short, I moved away and decided to not try a long distance thing, her mom flipped out and bitched me out about this and that, etc. Apparently she thought we were in love and were going to get married (I’m 19 now, and that was four years ago), freak shit.

Anyway, I’ve only seen her mom and dad (narrowly escaped them), no sight of her or her brother yet. Not sure whether thats a good thing or not…but meh.

I’m on my second Margarita in the past 20 minutes, and I’m sure I’m gonna need a lot more before her mom manages to corner me.

I swear I hit publish on a post a few days ago…guess not. Oh well, it’s out of date now, so I’ll just update ya on what’s going on.

First up, ‘Gooda is finishing up some training for his new favorite ship class, Electronic Attack Ships. I’ve taking a huge liking to the Sentinel. Being able to cap out a frigate within a few seconds and kill them not long after = win.

Hrm…oh, ya, that duel with Kirith was rescheduled (he had alliance stuff he had to deal with) and is gonna happen on this Sunday. It’ll be in Rens, so feel free to come watch.

I’ve also got another alt finishing up training for another races Jump Freighter so we can get some real logistics to our home base. Chatgris already bought the JF, only a few days until it’s inagural jump!

Also, after I finish training some more skills for my Sentinel, I’ll be working towards some logistics ships (Scimitar) for some fun Corp roams we’ve got planned. Stay tuned for more in the coming weeks/months.
